My
forte is making complex
scientific topics accessible
to a non-technical
audience and enjoyable
to semi-technical and
technical audiences as well.
My day job is to instruct upper level college
undergraduates and graduate students
at
the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign
(this website does not represent the U of I)
I
also enjoy bringing science to kids in
middle school and high school
as well as members
of the general public.
I have given seminars to colleagues
and
talks to the public explaining stem cells,
common drug actions, and famous scientists!
I
do outreach activities with schools and libraries to
middle school and high school students,
always
looking for the interesting angle
that will make them look twice!
I
also participate in established activities
at the community, state, national, and world level!
